Kanetani Maternal Line

     The Kanetani maternal line is in demand worldwide, Kanetani was an original import in the World K’s program. She was sired by the legendary Japanese bull Tanishige who also sired Suzutani and Rikitani! Her most recent impact was through her descendants, Takamichi Doi and Breed leading Rib Eye Area sire World K’s Michitsuru is a Michifuku son of Hisako. Both of whom have become very popular bulls with international appeal.The Kanetani maternal line has also produced successful sires World K's Michitsuru, Michihisa, and Michishige which have displayed excellent carcass result in F1 programs in Australia for World K's Group. As of 2012, WKS Michishige is ranked in the top 3 of WKS’s best F1 tested marbling bulls in Australia according to their data release.

    The top selling female from the 2017 Muddy Flats dispersal was a Kage daughter of Hisako herself (MFC MS HISAKO 3-17) who sold for $46,000 to Bowman farms. Her Sanjiro 3 sired son, RAB WAGYU BEEF COMPANY SANJIRO 5 has become a popular AI sire in the USA.

    At the 2019 Wagyu Franchise Female Sale hosted by Wagyu Ranch and Morace Cattle Co the top two selling lots were Kanetani maternal line females in WKS CHR MS TANITSURU 621A and WKS CHR MS HISAKO 654 C who sold for $50,000 each to Ashton Wagyu.
